According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Chicago Bears have fired head coach Lovie Smith after missing the playoffs, despite a 10-6 record.

I’m not a fan of this move, if the Bears had an offensive line that could protect quarterback Jay Cutler, they would be in the playoffs, it’s as simple as that. I don’t think Lovie will have hard time getting another head coaching job.
